Extract the tarball (the .tar.gz file) to a location of your choice, e.g. /usr/local.
This will create the directory Adminmod which contains the Admin Mod files. Change into
this directory and run the install_admin shell script to perform an installation
of Admin Mod. Alternatively you can install
manually, but the shell script does a good job of getting the basic components
in place.

Following installation of the Admin Mod, proceed to The Admin Mod Configuration Files section to begin setting your configuration variables. Once you have your files in place, configuration of Admin Mod is essentially the same for Linux and Windows.
